Grab The Wheel is a highly structured, visual, and interactive social-emotional curriculum, designed to help children ages 4-6 improve Anger Management and Social Skills.  Created by Bryan Anderson, LCSW of Angerson & Anderson, and 3 UCLA-trained behavioral therapists, Grab The Wheel was designed to be accessible to all children, including children with Autism.  The curriculum was designed for teachers or parents to use with children individually, or in small groups.  The Introduction of the book provides an extensive overview of Social and Emotional Development in Young Children, and the risky outcomes later in life that may occur when children do not develop these skills.  Chapter 1 features lessons that help children build basic Emotional Identification and Recognition Skills, Chapter 2 focuses on teaching Empathy and Perspective taking, and Chapter 3 and 4 introduce the anchors of the curriculum: The Good Choice Wheel and The Bad Choice Wheel.  These two anchors, adapted from the Contrasting Wheels of Behavior, represent two sets of skills that can positively or negatively impact any social situation.  Each wheel comes with fun characters, engaging games, and social stories to help teachers bring the materials to life.
